POLY waxing machine, in polypropylene, 35x39 cm

A new solar waxing machine, very economical, specifically dedicated to beginner beekeepers, who own a small number of hives but who already find themselves having to face the problem of recovering the wax, by melting, both from old honeycombs and from drained opercula or from any wax residue. The external structure is made up of a molded container in EXPANDED POLYPROPYLENE, a material that has exceptional insulating properties and is capable of resisting the high temperatures that are obtained inside the waxing machine through exposure to sunlight. A 4 mm thick plexiglass sheet is inserted on the removable cover which acts as the tempered glass mounted on higher class sun waxers. Despite its small size, the functionality as a solar waxer is excellent, allowing you to melt beeswax and collect it to sell or process. The melted wax collection tank is made of stainless steel and can contain up to 13.3 litres. The external structure is placed on a special support, in drawn stainless steel, with an inclination of 15°, and oriented towards the south to make the most of the sun's rays. Tests we have performed many times over the summer months have recorded internal temperatures above 102°C. (considering that the melting point of the wax is on average 65° C). To make the most of the capacity of the waxing machine, when you need to melt old honeycombs, it is best to remove them from the wood and then cut strips of about 10 cm. to be placed vertically, one close to the other, on the perforated support surface.
