It appears as granules of different colours (depending on the botanical origin) with a scent reminiscent of the smell of hay. Pollen contains several useful substances such as mineral salts, carbohydrates, fat, 20-30% of proteins and essential amino acids. It is also rich in trace elements; iron content is equal to that of meat and cheese and is the main source of zinc. The content of potassium, silicon, sulphur, copper, fluorine and selenium is quite high. Vitamin C content is approximately 570 milligrams/kg, the highest concentration found in nature. It contains also almost all vitamins necessary for our body. It can be taken in several ways: dissolved in warm water or added to cold or hot beverages or yoghurt. It can also be eaten without diluting it. It is advisable to take one or two teaspoons/day. Store in a dry place, away from any source of heat.
